Wishing you a Happy New Year! I made this greeting card with a quilled snowman using blue card stock for the base, and white and light blue copy paper for the quilling and decoration. The tools used for this card include paper punches and patterned scissors.
The snowman is a pretty simple one, it's made of 1/8"-wide (3mm) hand-cut quilling strips. For the hat and scarf I used purple strips crimped with a homemade crimper. The pompom on the hat is just a tiny fringed flower. The snowman is three-dimensional, I enclosed it into a transparent plastic dome — a half of an egg toy packaging. I also poured some "snow" in there, which is actually small pieces of shredded copy paper. You can cause a real "snowstorm" if you shake the greeting card :)
The lettering was made with a metallic silver gel pen. Size of the card 4x6 inches (10x15cm).
Happy New Year!
