Quilled white dandelions and raspberries, framed art

This is my new dandelion project, the last one out of three designs with dandelions I planned to do (the other two are Dandelions and violets and Dandelion). If you wondered how I make the seed-heads, here are the instructions:

1. Quill a tight hemisphere like you would usually do for a 3d quilling project — the base.

2. Make about 30-40 tiny fringed flowers for the parachutes. I use a square piece of parchment about 3/8 x 3/8 inches (1 x 1cm) in size for each parachute, when the fringe is about 1/3'' (3mm) long. You may need even more of such flowers depending on the size of your dandelion.

3. Then, I attach a "stem" to the hemisphere and build up the seed-head by gluing the parachutes row by row onto the base. You'll need a thick adhesive for this. Let every row dry before adding a next one.

For the leaves I used crimped strips, as you can see. That's when my new DIY paper crimpers came in handy :)

You might also notice the new design of paper frame. I think it's much better then the old one. I'm considering writing a tutorial on how to make this new type of paper frames, but don't have enough time right now, sorry for that.

Size of the finished work (without frame) is 5 3/8'' x 6 1/8'' (13.5 x 15.5cm).
