Miniature 3D quilled tea set

Quilled cup, cake and teapot

I've been creating three-dimensional quilling recently. This is one of my new miniatures — a quilled tea set and a cupcake with cherry. The set includes a tiny teapot, cup, and saucer. I often saw similar designs on the Internet, but had never thought of making one myself. However, the idea came in handy when I needed to make a gift. I knew it had to be something other than flowers, and a decorative tea set seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I quilled also a cupcake to make the whole set more lively.

This miniature was created using mainly 1/8"-wide strips (3mm). I also used some 1/16"-wide (1.5mm) and even narrower strips for the teaspoon, teapot lid, cherry and cream on top of the cupcake.

When the set was ready, I had to find a way to pack it nicely. Luckily, I found a small tea box, which became an ideal packaging for my present. The receiver seemed to be very happy with the tiny gift :)

Please have a look at this.
That's pretty much you need to know to make 3D miniatures. The elements are always the same. Read also this comment for additional explanations. Practice and try to figure out how to put the elements together.
