My last quilling work, two poppies and a dandelion; its size is about 7 x 7 1/2 inches (17.5 x 19.5 cm) framed. This time I'd like to share with you complete, step-by-step instructions for making it. When I say "complete", I mean that you will see how each and every part of this piece was made. Actually, this will be a series of three tutorials, due to the relatively large number of different elements: Petals of poppy flowers ; Flower centers and assembling the poppies ; Foliage and dandelion flower .
I'd like to tell a little about the paper I use for quilling. Special quilling paper is the best option, of course. It can be found in a huge variety of colors, thickness, widths and quality. This paper is pre-cut, the only thing you have to do is to lay it in front of you and let your creative side out. But... The problem with it is that you can buy quilling paper only in countries where quilling is popular. What do you think about this selection, for example: Quilling.com (Paper) ?
